I've just bought a second hand set of td pro race 1.2's 18x8 in black for my 2004 cooper s,the guy I bought them off wasn't sure of the offset but the stud pattern was correct so I took a risk as I won them for £250 with tyres!there in mint condition I fitted them today and they fill the arch perfectly but when driving the rear wheel scrub on the arch when going round bends sharply or when hitting potholes,I know the offset obviously makes a big difference but they do seem to fit perfect for the look I was after, the cars been lowered on eibach springs 30 mm front and rear.I don't know what to do to solve this problem without lifting the suspension, can anyone please advise??the tyres are 225/40/18 would lowering the profile work? Or am I going to have to get a wheel with a higher offset so they sit into the arch a little more.
