Thinking about changing from my MK3 Golf GTI to a Mini Cooper S (I had a Mini Cooper in 2004 - 2007 but circumstances forced me to sell!)

Does this seem like a good deal - or normal: 2005 Mini Cooper S 1.6L Cooper S 3dr Hatchback | eBay (http://bit.ly/AcCjyl)

Apparently it has 2 MINI service stamps and one from another garage plus it's due a service.

It always makes me laugh when i see a MCS for sale as having 2-3 lady owners lol

On a serious note the service history would put me off , if i was going to pay that for a car i would want and expect a full complete service history to be honest , and i also hate to see anything on ebay with the 0 feedback!!!

Good luck

Yeah, I think you could be right on this one. To be honest I'm in no hurry to finda good MCS so I think I'll just keep looking. Price wise though does that seem about right for a 05 MCS?

I would say there is room on that price, you would get it lower, it can be hard with a mini as some custom packs can add £££££££ to the value!

If you have the cash then you are in a very good position and you will find a wee cracker if you take your time.

Best of luck mate :)

Thanks. Really appreciated. I probably won't be getting one until next year but it can't hurt to be on the lookout ;-) The problem I have is that I've got a 16V MK3 Golf GTI and the value of that now is next to nothing so even if I left it until next year it'd still probably be the same value (even though it's a great car with no problems)

Mmm, what about a 2002 model for £4650: MINI : Mini Cooper S 1.6 Chilli pack - only 1 previous owner (http://bit.ly/zzebDz)

Feel a bit out of touch with the MINI as I sold my 54 model 4 years ago now. I'm sure there's lots of posts on this forum (which I shall probably spend the weekend looking through) but is there a huge amount of difference between the 52 and 54 reg models?
