Hello everyone, as the title suggests I need to replace the rocker cover gasket, I have a Haynes manual and it looks a fairly simple job, the manual states a torque wrench setting of 12nm for 'cylinder head cover' and 18nm for 'cylinder head cover caps'. I am unsure which of these to refer to the bolts on the rocker cover, NB I can't see anything that resembles a 'head cover cap' so I'm thinking 12nm for the bolts? I wonder what you guys think? Or any other advice on the job I need to do,

Many thanks

Mike

I would say you would be safer going for the 12nm.

main thing with a rocker cover gasket ( and sump gasket ) is not to overtighten, and this is the most common reason for leaks.
