Was a limited slip axle available on the 2008 MCS? If so how do I know if the option is on my Mini?

I've a 2008 MCS with an LSD. You could ask the local dealer to check the spec on your car.

+1 on asking there dealer, they should give you a printout detailing all the options your car has had installed.
I have the limited slip option on mine, although I don't know what difference it makes.

Better traction. One wheel starts to spin and the other will lock in!
