Hi guys,
I searched on the forum and couldn't find anything on the subject so I decided to open it myself.
This weekend i will be taking off the inter-cooler on my MINI Cooper S to clean the oil out with acetone. I noticed that my inter-cooler fins are all bent, some are closed and others broken off. Now i have taken off the inter-cooler before and noticed that the underside of the inter-cooler has perfectly straight fins and looks in tip top shape.
My Question is this, can i mount the inter-cooler upside down? (Literally just flip it) Or is it a stupid thing and cannot be done?
i was wondering for the simple reason that if cool air can get into those beautiful straight fins, it might cool better.
What do you guys think?
Thanks a lot
Regards,
Andrew
