Ok so looking to tune my 03 mcs but not really after any huge power gains so not considering new pulley etc.

Thinking of going to amd in Essex and getting a milltek cat back, ECU remap and a pipercross panel filter. Keeping the the cost down but looking or a nice exhaust note and better throttle response.

Any thoughts, comments or alternative suggestions welcome.

Whats the cost of the remap?

Whats differences will you gain?

Look at a DaveF or a JCW box for good performance and sound.

Milltek rocks!

Well...about 15 hp overall if I do the induction kit instead.

Certainly convinced the full Milltek is the way to go but might do it in stages, also an induction kit of sorts but stuck between the alta 2.0 and something cheaper like the pipercross. Have read the ata is loud but how loud?

The remap is £300 for 8hp.

Alta and all other induction kits are crap! Stick with the Dave f or jcw airbox. Plus sack the map off and just get a pulley 1320 do one fitted for less then a map.

Best "bang for the buck" is having a 15% reduction pulley fitted.

I went for the following on my 03 Cooper S...

• Milltek cat back
• 15% Alta Supercharger Pulley
• ECU Remap
• Alta Air Intake System (Version 2.0)

...It's pretty nippy now!

Where did you get it done and what did they charge?

Also how noisy is the alta?

Where do you get the jaw air box from btw?

I brought all of the above from Lohen (google them if you don't know them)
Had a friend fit it all for mates rates so couldn't tell you what it would cost elsewhere.

The Alta sounds great btw! Not too noisy.

speaking of tuning but not for power :D

someone told me to try posting my tuning question on a thread that has some responces and is in line with what im seeking to answer so here goes.

anyone know of any tunning available for the automatic transmissions in the mini cooper s? i would like to quicken my shifts and do other things. also will a remap adjust the throttle sensitivity? i was reading about the sprint booster but if a remap does it i dont wanna spend the money twice, thanks!

That will be the pulley doing most of the work, a ecu remap or a bluefin?

You should contact Mynes performance, they have made the best software to retune mini's and auto gearboxes.
