Hey guys,
I've done a search and it seems a few people have had similar issues but I want to be sure before I do anything. Car is a 55 plate JCW.
Runs fine, engine temp seems fine (quickly goes to half way on the analogue temp guage), heater fine as is coolant level.
Recently when I have parked up and turned off the ignition the engine fan has stayed on full blast. It is now happening alot more often (last 3 days in a row). Usually I'd put it down to the engine being very hot but I know it isnt given the journey it's just done. Also when I leave it the fans dont go off.
To make it more weird, if I turn the ignition on and off a couple of times it stops, almost like it was an electrical fault.
Is this a busted thermostat? Also, where in Essex can I take it to someone reliable to have a look? Want to avoid main dealers for work like this for obvious reasons....
