Hi all

Can anyone point towards a supplier for a radiator fan assembly.

The low speed is not working on mine and I believe you have to change the whole assembly.

I had similar, sourced one (new) from USA on ebay for about £45 as I remember plus about £30 shipping - about the same as a secondhand one over here.
Turned out the resistor had burnt out and the fan was fine just needed a new resistor - but you dont know that till its all out!

Yes they are, but you can get to it once its all out! I still have the original fan and was going to replace the resistor and keep it as a spare.

I just got a replacement fan from Rockauto, I don't know if thy ship overseas but might be worth a try, I am attaching a picture of the resistor, I hope to install it this weekend, it was $75 shipped.

What year is your MINI? There are two different fan assemblies, up to early 2003, which has a relay on the assembly for the low speed, and after that date where the relay is in the fuse box and the assembly has only the resistor.
There was a problem with the earlier design where the radiator cooling fan and the power steering fan (if fitted) shared the same fuse, and a problem with the power steering fan could cause the radiator fan to stop working.

Well all working. The ac is not bringing on the low speed fan. Although the fan is working fine for engine cooling.
