Just wanting a little advice and knowledge...
I think most Cooper S owners will agree that the metal coil dipstick is a bit ridiculous to read, especially considering it eats oil more than I drink water.
We also own a Mini Cooper D which has a nice easy to read dipstick which is metal with a red plastic tip, which is great. So I contacted the Mini garage to ask if I could have one of those for my cooper s, at which they said 'no' as every model has a different depth etc and that design is exclusive to the Cooper D.
I'm just wondering if anyone knows of any aftermarket dipsticks that are available for the Cooper S (Second Gen) which are easier to read which I could replace it with??
Have Mini done this deliberately so they make more money out of fixing engine failures as a result of low oil? Or just to make us all feel like dipsticks every time we try to read the things in public.
