Hi all,

I took my 2005 Cooper S in to the local dealership to identify an oil leak from the engine bay. They have said it is the sump gasket and quoted £450!

Can anyone recommend a good independent garage in and around Basingstoke?

Should I look to also replace the check valve on the rocker cover? I have read this can contribute to high pressure if it is bleeding pressure from the supercharger.

Same problem here but very very slow leak. have been quoted £120 including oil and oil filter change. should give you an idea of cost from non dealer.
