My GF is keen on a 2004 Mini (1.6, not the cooper S) which I intend to look at tomorrow.

I have an OBD II cable for my 2002 BMW and use BMW Carsoft 6.5 - Basic enough diagnostics but shows up any electrical faults etc. - I'm currently Googling to see if this would be compatible with Mini

Now, since I have an OBD II cable, I thought "Why not get some PC Software to I can run a diagnostic on any Mini I look at"

So with that, can anyone recommend any particular piece of software? Doesn't need to be the bees-knees, but just a piece of software that will run a basic diagnostic and throw up any major electrical faults that could be there.

OK so after some Googling, it appears Carsoft 6.5 WON'T work with the Mini, the earliest Carsoft compatible being 7.3

Looks like either way i'll have to purchase this, hence no good to solve my dilemma for viewing a car tomorrow!
