Hi All
I have a facelift Cooper, bought secondhand. The gearlever sometimes just seems to move about in the neutral region and generally does not spring back to the neutral point between 3rd and 4th. Has anyone experienced something similar?
The garage, from whom I bought it, said he did some investigation and suggested the linkages might need lubricating and drive it for a little while to see if the lube worked its way in. It hasn't.
Anyone got any thoughts?
