You've got to love eBay. Press a button and hey presto, you've bought a car. This is how I ended up with a great looking silver (would have prefered dark silver or white) MCS convertible 2005 with chili pack. The reason for the potentially risk mode of purchase is that I live in Montenegro and will have 1/2 a day available to get a car at te back end of my nieces wedding. So right now I'm busy buying new tyres and rims and checking out what comes with the chili pack. So, 14 May will be a happy day for me. I pick up Morph (it comes with the name, what can ya do?). And start my trip down to Montenegro. Having done this trip several times, I can say, I don't normally look forward to it. This time however, I think me and Morph have some bonding to do. Esp on those autobarhns ;)
I've opted to change the 17" NRF tyres for some comfy 16" RFs. I think they'll look just as good and on the not so great roads in Montenegro I believe that they'll hold better and give a much better ride. This is doubly important as the car is meant for my girlfriend. We'll see.
Added to my list of eBay purchases is a wind deflector, that'll def come in handy.
Any recommendations? I think the car as pretty much all the options I could need. Just trying to figure out how to use the OBC ahead of pick up. Can anyone recommend a good thread to look at for instructions. I esp like the litres per 100km as tats what everyone refers to hear.
I've already had loads of use from the mini2 forum.
Bytheway, I can really recommend coming here for a drive. The motorways on the way down are fantastic and once you hit the Croatian coastline, the views are stunning. There's loads of fantastic windy mountain roads (even by the coast) where you can enjoy the Mini's handling.
Maybe I'll see some of you down here for a coffee and a chat.
