I have noticed that when I raise the boot of my coupe either after washing it or after a downpour ( yes I live in part of the country that still has rain) the water runs down the run off channels to start with but when the boot is fully raised the water runs into the boot.

I know the answer is to open the boot slowly but when rushing in the rain I don't always remember.

Is this a "design feature" or just a problem with my coupe?
