Hi I recently replaced the door actuator on the drivers door on my 04 plate cooper s, and all seemed fine but then the door has started to not open, it all unlocks with remote or key but won't open until I climb in passenger side n wind window down a bit, any ideas how to fix please??

I take it what you mean is that the door unlocks ok but the window is not dropping down as it should when you open the door? so basically the window is keeping the door closed until you drop the window manually?

Yes and sometimes it works normally

Try this.....

Sit in the car, and put the key in position 1, so you have power to the windows.

Push and hold down the window switch, and keep it held down for 5 seconds after the window is all the way down. This re-sets the memory, telling the motor, in effect, "Remember where we are now?

Roll window back up, and release switch.


That should reset it, sometimes when disconnecting the battery this can happen, hope this helps you out...... :)
