Hi guys,

I've recently purchased a mini clubman D, its a nice car but its just started to misbehave.

I've had the Diesel Fuel Additive Light come on and went to a friend who's a local mechanic to get it looked it. He's advised me it needs the additive which I purchased from euro car parts. He's managed to put in roughly a litre, however it hasn't reset the light.

Just wanted to know if anyone's managed to reset the diesel fuel additive low light?

Thanks

Tariq

Are we supposed to add stuff to the diesel? I have been driving diesels for the last 15 years and I have never had to add anything, just top up at the pumps and drive off.

It probably needs to go on the BMW computor to reset same as ford needs a dealer reset that's why I have a petrol car now

He put it in where? I hope not directly into the tank...

Light needs to be reset by dealer.

Hi there. The diesel additive should be refilled via a SEPERATE tank bolted to the underside of the fuel tank. This is regarded as a service item by MINI. Once the additive have been replaced, normally comes as a liquid in a bag, the service light can be reset like any other service light via the instrument cluster.

Hope this helps.
