Hi all,

I am just about to put in an order for a new Cooper S but I am still worried about the practicality. I have a 3 year toddler (who comes with all the normal small person stuff) and I am concerned that I will not be able top get the weekly shop in the car. Cant solve this on a test drive so need some help from you guys with experience. Desperate to get a mini but i need to be sure that it is remotely practical.......

Thanks - but really keen on the looks of the hatch. Husband has a bigger car for larger items but just wondering if i can get a tesco trolley full in the boot...

I got 5 full-is bags for life in the boot of my convertible last week - first shop in it and was quite surprised. You do tend to adapt, unless it is something like the buggy which may be a problem.

Booster seat on front seat and drop both back seats for your shoppin is the only way forwards,but that way only space for two persons in the car or drop half a rear seat !!! Either way you have only two options if you really want a mini :puzzled:

the boot wont fit many buggies it it, only several that will actually fit and they cost a bit!

and agreed the clubman is a bit rank!

if hubby has a bigger car send him shopping you and junior drive around with 2 big smiles lol

Well I cant lie, I have heard and seen it written a few times, "Ive got to sell the MINI because we're starting a family", so we need to get a Range Rover now ready for the school run and thats better for going up the curbs to park on the zig zags/pavement for the drop off.

My mate brought her twin 3.5 year olds daughter down and we took the kids out in the mini. 2 toddler seats in the back and 2 balance bikes in the boot. No problems.

Plenty of room. We've gotten silly with the sizes of cars. How much room does a 3 year old need?

Must refer you back to Blackminimac - BUY A CLUBMAN! - Every year the Mini gets caned in feedback charts for its lack of practicality when the Clubman answers all the questions (also its better looking)
