Hello guys. I'm new to the whole Mini Cooper world but i just picked up a 2005 Cooper S (R53 from what i understand). I just also ended up buying a set of 16 cooper s wheels and tires from a local seller and they also came off a 05 S but the wheels have no curb rash and the tires have much more life and are not run flats like mine. I also confirmed that they have the sensors on them. I jsut swapped the wheels and of course the TPMS light comes on. I pressed the button beside the handbrake but the light stays on. What should i do. I check the pressure on the tires and they are all good.
Thanks

A 2005 MINI uses data from the ABS sensors to monitor tire pressure ... no sensors are required in the wheels.
Did you follow the reset instructions in the Owner's Manual (http://libraryofmotoring.info/pdf/manuals/ownersmanual2005.pdf)?

Thanks Caveman,
I guess i didn't initialize the system after changing tires. I do it as soon as i get home.

if your in the US,i believe the minis on that side of the pond did use tpms wheel sensors & not the abs sensor..
