Hi,

After my car was vandalise a few weeks ago, I took the opportunity to replace the bonnet on ,my cooper with that of a cooper s.

It looks great, my only concern is since the scoop is totally open is this not a risk as water can easily get into the engine bay.

Am sure a lot of you guys did this conversion with success in the past, just want to get some ideas of how you did this and do they sell a completely blocked off scoop?

Looks good, I know someone with a One that has a MCS bonnet but think it is still has an open bonnet scoop......as you say probably worth blocking off with something, maybe some fine black mesh fixed on from the inside?

I will order a grill today i think i can get this from the dealer, how does the scoop works on a cooper s, does water not get into the engine bay???

I would leave it open, i wouldn't worry too much about it.
