Can someone advise me about the Hampton? Just put a deposit on a cooper Hampton with sun roof. Really think I should of gone for a cooper s. Is the Hampton a good mini. Never owned a mini before and have been looking forever for a good SPEC.

The Hampton is a nice spec and different from the norm, but the question should be more about performance if you want an S. Did you not test drive both first? A lot of money to get it wrong.

Yes have tried both the cooper and the S. My head sort of said I should go for the lower version because of money, tax and insurance. At the moment I have a VW golf which is very very old so this will be the first time I have brought an almost new. Just didn't really know the hampton but was seduced by the £3000 off list price and having all the Chilli pack plus a sun roof. I love the interior colour because it is so different but wonder if I have chosen the right one because of spec. Really would like to darken the windows at the back which I suppose you can do and if so could I just go to a non dealer to get it done? everything is sooooooo expensive at the dealership!

i find the cooper to be more than ample for what I want a car to do, I also like the fact that a cooper needs to be worked to get the best from it, in the S you just put your foot down.

I love my Cooper Hampton! it has everything and more, I can recommend getting the rear windows tinted, go really dark, like I did
