PostPanic produces 2 minute mixed-media web film for new MINI concept car.
"BSUR Amsterdam approached PostPanic to help them create an extra special product launch film to match the distinctive new MINI Rocketman concept.

The Rocketman concept sees MINI reinvent the small car again by going back to the essence of MINI’s founding design principles. The car, a three-seater with a space-saving carbon-fibre cross frame, has been designed with MINI purists in mind. Whilst the Rocketman concept is not a retro car, it is a modern interpretation of the original MINI idea: a fun, simple, ultra compact solution to urban mobility.
The 2 minute product film is part of a social media campaign across YouTube, Twitter and Facebook. The car itself will go into production based on the response from MINI fans."

If this is the new rounded look of MINI's in the future I'd rather by a Fiat 500!

totally agree with BlackHawks! It's going to be horrendously expensive too!
I do like the wheels though

If enough folk buy one then the cheaper it will become, probably, you can only hope. But then again too cheap is not good either.

Thanks for the other links Mab01UK that I've never seen. I noticed this this story kicking around a few weeks ago but didnt think it was ever posted at the MINI2 site (hence why posting it in the Future Variants location). You know, the Sonny Lim sketches don't look that bad!

Nevertheless, I've heard many times about MINI "planning" to modernize their cars for Gen III and make them more "rounded" looking. If this has any indication of what really is to come then I better buy a 2013 or 2014 before this beautiful generation disappears.

The alleged spy shots of the third gen MINI look more like the new shape 1 Series than the first gen MINI... loads of overhang! Hopefully early indication will prove to be wrong, but it doesn't look great at the moment.
