Annoyingly the following warning message pooped up today:
"Engine Fault - Full engine power no longer available. Possible to continue journey. Drive moderately. Have the problem checked by the nearest MINI Service."

I've read a number of threads about this on North American Motoring and some on here for 2009 - present models, mostly in new cars after less than 2,000 miles!! It seems it can relate to faulty spark plugs, cylinders, high and low pressure fuel pumps, thermostats...!
Of further annoyance - the dealer's diagnostic machine is out of order for 3 days and they cannot give us a replacement car until they diagnose the problem  If I can show them the warning symbol surely that should be enough to prove a fault and get a courtesy car!?!
Anyone else had this issue and what was the problem?
I'm also wondering if my very low mpg average of 21mpg could be connected with an engine fault....
