Hi! This is my first post here, i have been lurking about for a couple of months though =)

I have a Mini One D 2005.

After i changed the interior door opening cable my window no longer dips when the door is opened.

(followed a guide on youtube "How to fix the locks and door handle on a Mini Cooper ")
The only thing i did diferent was that i took down the window before attaching the "lock" pin, so it colided with the window once or twice. didnt seem to bother it much though..

I have tried multiple positions on the srew\bolt underneath the door, but no difference. I have also tried to reset the window, even unplugged the negative pole on the battery. No imporvement. Had a similar problem somtimes durning the winter, but its warm outside now, and it worked a couple of hours ago :P

The window sliedes fine all the way up and down, its just the "door open dip" thats not working..
It works fine with the passenger door (only worked on the drivers door.)

Im really lost, ideas?

Couple things one to mind... First would be to check the adjustment of the glass itself. I've seen where a window was adjusted far enough up that you almost couldn't see it detent unless you were really paying attention. If that's not the case, the motor may be going out as that is what controls the detent feature in the older bodystyles.

I unplugged the plug to the lockbox and disconected the battery, replugged the plug and reconnected the battery. Now its working!

I suspect the plug wasnt properly inserted..
