Hi Guys I need your help.

When I close the drivers side door and the window goes up, it has an anoying squeek where the glass rubs on the rubber I have tried everything greese and Lythium greese and no luck. With the weather getting warmer its getting worse.

Anyone experienced this problem and can offer some advice, please help.

Thanks

A little WD40? grease is not good it rots rubber, unless its special rubber grease, WD40 should be ok. Or some baby powder even?

Happens to my Mini too.
You can try some rubber conditioner, i'm sure Meguires do some.
Either that, or put up with it!

Actually, I would suggest the exact opposite to what you have done. I've had good results on my convertible by removing any trace of lubricant from all the seals. To get silicone off, BMW go a good silicone remover for £7 or so - apparently they have to use it a lot on 5-series door seals.

The ideas is that the squeaks occur because the seal is moving against the glass or metal - remove the lubricant and the seal 'sticks' to the glass or metal and the movement is taken up by the seal deforming a bit.

The anti-silicone treatment isn't for ever - it needs repeating every six to twelve months.
