We've just purchased a 2008 Mini Cooper convertible Sidewalk and this is my first post on this forum. In the glove box is an aux port and a iPod lead. And we have the phone button on the steering wheel.

From these photos can anyone tell what we have and whether it has bluetooth?

I want to add basic bluetooth. I'm not bothered about the iPod lead as we don't have Apple products (Android fan!). I was thinking about getting a Parrot CK3100 kit installed (can get installed for £150), but it would be nice to use the buttons on the steering wheel. I've seen the kits at Newministuff and these look good. Or maybe for a little more, we could replace the stereo with one that has Bluetooth built in. But before I buy anything, I just wanted you guys to confirm that the current setup does need replacing?

Also, where is the best place to put the microphone on the convertible?
