We've just purchased a 2008 Cooper convertible Sidewalk with black bonnet stripes. Over the weekend, I cleaned the car and waxed it. But the bonnet stripes look dull in comparison to the rest. What's the best way to clean them or make them shine? I tried both wax and vinyl/trim cleaner, but both looked a mess. I got the best results from just using glass cleaner to remove any wax and water marks. But they still look dull.
Maybe they need replacing as they are four years old now. Some that were brown/bronze to match the Sidewalk logo would look good against the pepper white paintwork. Anyone seen these or got any sources who would do the correct colour match?
