: Oil Change at National Tyres

So I've had my 07 MCS a couple of months now and I checked the oil Which looks like its getting a little on the low side.

As I'm unsure what oil it has had in it I thought that it might be an idea to have it all drained an filled back up with 5W30 castrol edge which I understand is the best for the MCS but also rather pricey as halfords want £46.99 for 4 litres!

Looked on National tyres website and if you book an oil change online and pay they can do the change with Edge for £40.40p inc a filter change!

Seems to good to be true. Anyone had any experience of National with oil changes? Any hidden charges?

Obviously if it is good value I wanted to share with all other MCS owners who pay top dollar for their oil changes with gritted teeth!

Jon. Haven't got the tools and although I'd probably know what to do its getting the time. Wife, work and child are all very time consuming. What kind of price are you getting the oil for?

i try to do 2 oil & filter(oe filter)changes per yr on my Coop S,costs me £40 takes me 1/2 hr.I'm using a 5/40 spec oil reason being,a 40 weight stays slightly thicker @100 degrees than a 30 does, which i think imo is better for the turbo bearings considering how fast they spin & the 800 degree exhaust gas temp that goes thru it also.
