Hello Guys,
About 3 weeks ago I had all my pads and disks replaced on my JCW. For a while they looks absolutely stunning - however, this quickly changed when they became covered in rust.
The previous disks I had on the car didn't do this, they always looked nice and silver - if unused you might get some light spotting on the braking surface but this disappears after driving.
With these new disks the entire thing is covered, the braking surface cleans when driving but the rest of the disk which has no friction put against it remains bright orange.
Through my R90s this just looks horrific.
Why would the new disks be doing this when the old ones didn't? Have I been short changed? or has some form of treatment been applied to the previous disks?
Thanks,
Robert
