Hi all,

After swapping my cooper for a r53 cooper s earlier this year, I cannot believe how shocking the brakes feel, so I am doing the R56 cooper s brake upgrade as going anything bigger/fancy is a waste for what I use the car for.

However I have a question, I sourced some calipers and carriers (trw type) however when trying to source the hoses needed, I cannot find which type I need, are they the straight type (male threaded fitting) or the banjo type?

I have sourced everything else, just need to know what hoses I need then I can get busy!

Cheers

Gav

They were ok for the lower power models, but on the "S" they are a little under sized. I know the discs aren't that much bigger but the pads are quite a bit bigger, plus they seem to have great report!

Just need the help on the hoses!

Take a look here. They are male threaded, would recommend getting some steel braided ones though.

Take a look here:
lohen.co.uk - Track & Fast Road Performance for your New Mini - Online Shop (http://www.lohen.co.uk/shop/proddetail.php?prod=GoodridgeBraidedHoseKitGen2)

Or you could get OEM ones separately from bmminiparts
