Hi everyone, been reading about and still cannot find a sure answer, I am currently looking at a mini from a car garage but I noticed when inspecting it with the bonnet up that on idle it was making a faintish tapping/clicking noise and when the clutch was pressed down it would stop and when let off it would start again and the dealer just said its the clutch release bearing as if they all do it and its normal and I have been looking about and some agree with this but there are a lot of people who would say different, now the car was parked on a large downward facing slope and has been at the garage for about 4 months so doubt it's had a proper run/drive since it went there as it has just been going from the front of the garage to the back overnight I know this may not have anything to do with the noise but just listing all the factors. So I am asking if anyone has the answer to what the hell this noise is as apart from this it is in immaculate conditionsand I have my heart set on it it has done 101 thousandths miles, can't remember exactly, regards, Jack
