Hi all....I have a 2010 mini cooper, which seems to have an oil leak. Been to the mini garage twice who say it's dry as a bone, but I still get drips on my drive. I jacked it up and went under with a torch today and have found if you go to the rear of the sump, these is what looks like a black semi circle loop of cable housing. I can see at the bottom of the loop the oil gathering, hence dripping. Have you guys any idea what it may be ?...seems wird I found it in about 2 minutes yet the garage could not !1 - Grrrrr - :aargh:

Sure its definitely oil? and not water from the air con drain?
That would explain why the garage could not find it as it would dry when the engine is hot?

Hi . Yes it's oil for sure. I don't use the air con and had a white tray for a while under the car to catch it. Thanks
