I am looking out for some JCW seats for my girlfriends R53 Cooper S, as the standard seats have too much lumber and are causing her back pain. Ideally I would like to fit the JCW Sparcos but they are really hard to find for sale (does anyone know of any???)

So I was thinking about buying a pair of JCW Recaro CS seats from an R56 - can anyone tell me if the electrics can be modified to suit our R53 so that the heated seats and airbag work? Are there any retrofit threads or guides online on how to modify the runners?

Any other help or input greatly appreciated - her back is so sore we may have to sell the car if we cannot change the seats :(

As far as I'm aware the seats will physically fit in that the runners and floor fittings etc. are the same, but electrically the connectors are diifferent between the R50/R53's and R56's.
You might be able to get a pair of R53 'GP' type Recaro's which were an option on other R50/R53's.
I'm sure there are some other topics that have covered this in the past?
