: Loose Aero Spoiler - GLUE FAILING!!!

I have an Aero spoiler fitted to R50. I fitted this myself a few months ago.
I noticed last night when washing the car that the spoiler is slightly loose at one side and there's a fair amount of movement.
The spoiler lifts up on the right hand side, and when you push it down, water comes out.
Obviously I can't just leave it the way it is, as I don't want to see it get ran over by the car behind me!

I would appreciate any advice on the best way to resolve the problem, does the spoiler need taking off and refitting? Do I just need to add more glue in the slight gap that lifts up?

I guess I will have to remove the spoiler, if this is the case, how would you fit it again, would you use glue or 3M tape?

This is the glue that I used to fit it, BODY KIT SPOILER FIXING ADHESIVE GLUE CAR BODY REPAIR | eBay (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BODY-KIT-SPOILER-FIXING-ADHESIVE-GLUE-CAR-BODY-REPAIR-/220446791248?pt=UK_Body_Shop_Supplies_Paint&hash=item3353a71650)

At the bottom of the description of this particular product, the seller says, "FOR AN EVEN STRONGER ADHESIVE SEE MY OTHER BODYKIT ADHESIVE MS POLYMER" - Does this mean that I didn't buy a strong enough glue?

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks a lot! :frown:

I think it's probably best to remove and refit the spoiler.
If you just lift the edge that is loose and put adhesive in you'll
run the risk of the two 'mating' surfaces not being clean enough
and the join not being strong enough.
I would remove the old spoiler, make sure both surfaces are
spotlessly clean and re fit.
Remember to hold the spoiler in place with strong tape and give it
plenty of time to cure.
Hope this helps.

Professional bodyshops use Tigerseal for this:

Thanks for the replies guys, I've been driving round for the last couple of weeks with it slightly loose - stupid I know.

I imagine I'll have to do as you say, remove it completely and reapply it. What would you suggest to get the glue off as I imagine it's built up on the spoiler as well as on the roof, which I'd need to be gone when gluing it again!
