First post so go easy (the question is at the end)
Recently acuired a 2009 Cooper S convertible for the wife, this was somewhat of a triumph as she was after a Beetle convertible and not only did I swing her round to the Mini but also convinced her the S was the way to go - she had an Octy vRS before so performance was a good justification, lol
Been running it for a couple of weeks now and on the rare accasions I get to use it it just puts a big grin on my face, it really does seem to be a quality bit of kit and it shifts reasonable well too, certainly up there with our family bus (Skoda Superb Estate 3.6 V6 4x4).
The car itself is red, black bonnet stripes, spots and black alloys, it looks every bit as good as it goes and just happens to be an almost identical replica of the electric one our 3 year old has (this was part of the requirements I was given, lol).
The only dissapointing thing has been the on board audio quality (or lack of it), anyay after a bit of sneaking round on here I stole it for the day and took it off to Mike at New Mini Stuff for a Dension Gateway and 350 Watt component system - can't recommend it or Mike enough, the sound is now much more as it should be.
So to end, my dumb question. Two things are driving wifey nuts, only having a single indicator on the flick (which i now have sorted and got to 3 flicks) and the fact it appears she cannot have the MPH reading in the square window on the tacho whilst having the range in the rectangualar window, I've been through every setting under the sun and cannot make it happen. To rub salt in the wound I had a 12 plate Cooper today while some minor faults wer fixed and thatthing was displaying exactly what I can't get to display on our S........help!!?
Cheers,
James.
