could anyone spread any light on a problem we have encountered with some new pads being fitted at 30000miles. the pads miss the disks by 25mm at the top which is rusting..has anyone had the disk worn at a slight angle thus new pads miss as above.....also could anyone please advise disk size for Cooper D.
Many thanks

Surely you mean 2.5mm which is normal in my experience.
25mm is an inch!

Just put new front discs on my cooper d and they are 280mm in diameter.
Reading your post again, you could have cheap pads fitted that don't fit smoothly in the calipers. I had to grind a bit off the ends and sides of my new rear pads just so I could close the calipers. They are m**tex ones if you'll pardon the expression.
