Hi all,

so having had the gearbox problem sorted which wasn't my original problem with my car, it wasn't running right before and I couldn't describe the problem my boyfriend has finally drove it and now thinks that the car is misfiring when the car is under load at low RPM, Probably 1500-2000, particularly noticeable when turning corner.

Does anyone have any ideas? No engine management lights show and the car otherwise drives fine when above 1800-2000rpm under WOT or just under.

I'm disliking the hole in my pocket that this Mini is causing me, but I don't want to see it gone!

Without driving it, I would only be guessing. However, in the brief time I've had my Mini, I don't think the engine is setup for accelerating under a load in the 1500-2000 RPM range. With moderate acceleration, 2500 RPM seems to be the "sweet" spot to upshift my '05 Mini.

I CAN accelerate from 1500 RPM, but very slowly or it will "buck". I assume you have a stick since the automatic will or should, choose the right gear to be in.
