This morning, Tackleberry ('09 MCS) and I went out for a little adventure. We went to Ft. Pickens State Park on the National Seashore on the west end of Santa Rosa Island. Ft. Pickens was built in 1834 and was active up through WWII. At one time, Geronimo was imprisoned there during his commute to Central Florida. The first couple pics are at the entrance to Ft. Pickens.

The next few pics are at a couple of the WWII Batteries. In the first pic, you can see the gun implacement. The third pic is a Battery at a Group Picnic area on the soundside of the island.
