Well its all fixed now but thought i would share the pics from yesterday as i pulled out the petrol station my car poped and banged like normal and then going into 3rd gear it went with a really big bang! And started blowing i took it down my bros unit to have a look and this is what i found
*note i havent cut the exhaust at all thats how it came off*

All fixed now cut the flexy bit out and replaced the section with some pipe we had

Thanks for pics, do you think it will be ok without the flexi joint?

I think so the system was very stiff before this happend the only thing is i got a rattle after i re-fitted the manifold and de-cat so i fitted a new rubber on the square under the middle of the car on the system and sorted it so hope so

I was wondering did it "Sound just like a Golf" ? when it dropped off

Without the flexi-joint expect frequent failures and plenty of welding. Been there, done that ;)

Exhaust bandage would have sorted that ;)

it needs to be replaced properly, welding it up is a bodge

Haha yeah ino well didnt have another new manifold so welded it up but the new manifold and decat turns up on saturday with a shiney new strong flexi lol

What kind of exhaust was it?

Had it replaced now got a new manifold and decat and the one that split was a sportex manifold decat system (cheap) lol if that was the reason why it split i dont know but am in process of buying all new vibra technic mounts just to rule that option out

Or worse still, just like a Peugeot.....
