Hi all, i have a 2002 Cooper s. Im a bit confused in relation to swapping the channels over to improve sound quality. On the origanal bill it states the stereo was upgraded from new. I have fitted sony 6x9 rears and infinity components up front. Is it still advisable to swap the channels over to get maximum bass to the rears or is this not the case with the upgraded stereo.

Any advice welcome.

I don't think the channel swap applies to the first gen minis. It's generally done on the 2nd gens as the rear 6 x 9s have a bass filter making it sound pants.

Like the man said no need to swap channels on first generation.
