Hi all
As a new Mini owner please can someone give me some advise about the power steering, as this is my first mini I don't have anything to compare to but the power steering does feel rather heavy compared to my last car (Renault Megane). How do I know if this is normal, or if it needs some attention?

Drive another I suppose is the best way to tell.
MINI power steering is electric whereas the Renault is probably hydraulic so its a different system anyway.
Also depends on the tyres you have fitted, wide ones will make it seem a little harder

MINI power steering tends to be heavier than most small cars because it is set up to give more of a 'sporting' driver feel and the direct 'go kart' characteristic of classic Mini's from the past. :)
If you have an earlier Mk1 Mini it will also make a whining sound which is normal.
