Just got my new, well, new to me (2006 Mini Cooper S) and am going through it with a smile on my face. So many cool gadgets!

I found a mystery switch that I dont understand what it does. It's under (not inside) the glove box and just above a plastic looking box. If you were sitting in the passenger seat, your left leg could almost rub against this box. The switch above the box, you can flip it up or down and sorta lock it. There's an arm attached to the switch and it looks like it goes into the glove box, but I cant tell. Just curious what's this for? I didnt see anything in the manual for it.

Can't answer with confidence however I recently purchased a 2010 S Mayfair and read about some glove boxes with an AC option and a swith to turn on / off. This may be what that is. I will check mine tomorrow and LYK and try to research more.
