Hi Guy's,
I want to remove the plastic trim, on top of the dash, that is directly behind the windscreen.
I can remove the front piece, that's easy, but how does the piece behind that come out?
I hope this is making sense??
Cheers.

The top of the dash on my 2004 Cooper is in two pieces.
Front piece, directly behind windscreen and the textured piece with the
air vents in.
I want to remove the piece that touches the windscreen.
Is this making any more sense??

You need a copy of the Bentley workshop manual for your model year, I only have the 2007 version onwards manual, you can do it with that model, theres a fair bit of dismantling to get the job done, but not hard, more fiddly, I would imagine the early models are very similar.

Hmm, i don't think i'm explaining things well here.
I'm looking to remove the thin plastic 'top' part of the dash that
is directly behind the windscreen.
It's the part with 'cut outs' in it to let warm air onto the windscreen
to help demist it.
I need to remove it to fit the Focal tweeters, that are in an angled housing
'pod', so that they can be directed right towards my ears.
God, they better sound good after all this! :D
