hi just come from my local autoelectric workshop i have a 52 plate cooper s,,airbag light been on months,,he said he cant go no further saying main dealer repair,, as his software cant diagnose it,,,any help? i live in s.wales and i dont really wanna pay main dealer prices,,steve,

Usually the seat airbag wiring connectors or seat belt pre-tensioner/buckle all part of the SRS system, more here:

You'd have thought an auto electrician would have already gone around the obvious and checked the connections wouldnt you?
If the computer these days doesnt say anything, the mechanics seem at a loss,
Where the old fashioned use your brain and hands on approach gone to???
