I have an idie blue/blk top S and am debating (while endlessly waiting) whether stripes or not? Given my color choice...I am taking a poll.:)

If you had a white roof then yes definately. Not sure if the standard black stripes would show up much on Indi Blue. Perhaps you could think about some custom ones like checkered ?

White stripes on IB/W looks incredible. IMO, best color combination available (I even think its better than my EB/W).

Go for the stripes. They're not painted on and can always be removed if you're not happy with them.

Im a stripe guy myself. But get custom ones not the standard white or black. Try more of a Hot wheels design. Orange flames =). But in the end remember its you that has to live with the decision not us. go for whatever you like not what someone else likes. Wonder what it would look like with a bunch of barely Dressed European Women painted all over it. or your basic James Bond Theam?? Hmm i have a dark silver .. add some rocket launchers Maybe the pop out ski's and oh yes got to have an ejector seat. Think they would put it in the next Bond flick????

I think if you get black stripes, they will be outlined with the thin white pinstripes, which should help them show up nicely. Sounds like it would be a pretty rare combination, also. But, yeah, you're the one who has to be happy with it. Good luck with the car, whatever your decision.

My DS/B S has the black-edged-in-white factory stripes, and it is the only striped Cooper or Cooper S I've seen on the street. Really, all the others look naked without. I was also ambivalent about the stripes at first, but since they were part of the Sport Pack, I'd be getting them at no additional cost, and could peel them off if I didn't like them. Wouldn't be without them, now.

Where did you get those viper stripes? I was waffling between the Indi Blue and the Pure Silver for my S. I wanted stripes but don't like the ones that come installed. Those viper ones made me change my mind back to the Indi blue!

Indi Blue S almost on order

The above pictured are a custom job done in the "flavor" of Rogue Engineering stripes. The custom stripes are slightly farther apart (don't require front and rear badge removal/refit) than Rogue Engineering stripes.

I chose the custom job as a pure convenience option, I just don't have the time or energy to fit the Rogue Engineering viper stripes. Then again, once I saw the job ... I am quite happy with the difference from the aftermarket Viper-like stripes.
