The meet is scheduled for Jan 11th @ 2pm at Racerock Restaurant in Orlando. (8986 International Drive)
The President of Racerock is organizing the event on his side and VIP food passes will be provided for all those attending. So far there are about 30-35 cars going. Although this is a BMW event, they are inviting MINI owners to come also.
Let's turn it into a MINI event by overpowering the BMW's ;)

I just heard today that we probably have over 40 cars coming from all over the state of Florida (Jacksonville, Miami, Ft. Lauderdale, Sarasota, Tampa, St. Pete etc). People organizing the event are trying to get a few sponsers to sell products and to pass the word to the BMWCCA and MINICCA (is there such a thing)...

This thing is turning out to be huge... maybe I should bring some hats and tshirts to sell :eek:

Hmmm. My trip to Panama city has changed and I'm now flying out on the 11th, changeover was going to be Atlanta but I may be able to switch it to Orlando - if I do are there any tickets available for a MINI Limey :)

Ignore that, can't get a flight via Orlando, it will haveto be Atlanta. Have fun anyway, sounds like a good crowd

oOps... I goofed a little bit.

Racerock will be providing VIP food passes which means... you do not have to wait in line to get food, but you still have to pay for it.

I was passing the word that VIP food passes meant you got free food... I was wrong.

i should be there i think...im going to disney world that day so what the heck...count me in. DC MINI in Florida. maybe 2 if my girlfriend and I bring 2.

I was wondering if I can join in the meet. I currently don't have a MINI, but my wife and I have been looking at them, she's getting a new car in the spring and we are trying to pick a car out. It will either be a new Accord, a MINI S, or a G35 coupe.

How mini people will be at this meet?

The person in charge of the event can be reached at acttrans98@aol.com ... he is the one setting up the meet with Racerock Orlando. It would probably be best to let him know you are coming. Last I heard there were something like 35-40 BMWs scheduled to be there, I did not see a count for the MINIs. I have just been relaying information from him to other boards around the net ... passing the word.

We are meeting between 1 and 1:30 by Sweet Tomatoes at 6877 S. Kirkman Road. The shopping plaza is called International Festival Shopping Center.
This is right off I-drive (international drive). From there we will caravan down to the Race Rock Cafe.

Aimee do we have to register for this? I hope I can just show up at the Sweet Tomato with everyone. I did not see where or how to sign up. Old Town is a little shopping/tourist area in Kissimmee, right down the road from Orlando. Every Saturday night they have an awesome Classic Car Cruise, really something to see. On Fridays, however, they have a late model cruise/show. All years of exotics and special interests are allowed. This would be cool to do, and I'm planning on going up there. A few years ago, the Friday night cruise got a bad rap because there were tons of bass heads with bad attitudes, but I heard they have gotten rid of those idiots. Anyways...check out www.old-town.com/fncrules.htm for more info. I know of at least one other MINI going to it. Anyone else want to?? :)

Both PharmaSea and I have emailed Brandon, one of the organizers, and he said that we did NOT have to register. He was glad to hear that there would be some MINIs in attendance, and we told him that there would be approx. 15 there. So I guess we just show up and blow them away!!!!!!!!!:p

depending on how early we get down there on friday we might be up for it...we're just tourists so we dont really know our way around, but if we can find it..we'll be there. :-) looks like fun.

Thats Great news Holly see you on Friday at Old Town. I sent you my cell number also. Now I'm just trying to figure out where to stay. I may just go to the Days inn Suites next to Old Town. There are so many choices I hope I can get a room there. Otherwise I'll just start looking around. Till then.:D
