I have searched all forums but still have some things about the official Works conversion that I don't understand - can you help?

My questions

Will MINI dealers only ever offer the Works conversion as an after sales add on - will I ever be able to buy a Cooper S Works off the showroom floor?

Is the Works package made by John Cooper??? is it identical?

How much money will be wasted by not factory fitting the Works kit and having to throw away expensive parts on my brand new ( awaiting final spec ) MCS???

You can already do this if you buy/order the conversion at your dealer at the same time as your car, they will fit the kit and you can collect it new with the kit on. (I believe).

John Cooper Works. There's only one 'Works' kit for each of the Cooper and S, and that's the John Cooper Works kit.

Nothing, because you can't get it factory fitted.

Thats answered my questions alright

I need to speak to my dealer - he inferred that I could only get the works if I had it fitted after delivery - i.e. booked it in after I had picked it up
