Excellent run today, some really nice roads and great scenery. Thanks for organising it guys.

Learnt some important things today:
1) Sham's, Maxim's and Martin L S's go quicker than my ONE
2) I shouldn't try to keep up with Sham, Maxim and Martin L
3) Keeping the revs at 6k while trying to keep up with Sham, Maxim and Martin L is not a good thing to do for long periods.
4) My ONE is faster than Anands Cooper! :D :D
5) Cattle grids should not be taken at 60mph

Got a few good pics which I'll post tomorrow, got to go and watch 24 now....

Hi folks,

Home at last! :D

Knacked but happy :D

We had a good day :D and thanks everyone for joining us in the run :D Glad to see such a good turn out - meeting up with old friends and putting names to faces for new aquaintances :D

There were some hairy moments   , and I really thought Cheeky was going to be hit by that stupid red Golf in the last leg of the run

I hope eveyone made it home OK :D

I shall write up the event and post a few pics on Apple's site later - too tired to do it tonight ;)

Looking forward to meeting you again soon! :D

DK and Mr DK :D

A big thanks from Gary and me, too. Had a fantastic time! A great way to pop our MINI run cherry! :)

yidaho - did you get petrol in time?

Just about, despite going 10 miles in the wrong direction with not a drip of petrol in sight! Finally found Safeways, then managed to catch up with the other MINI2ers at the next stop, thankfully!

Hope your head is feeling a little better, Steve? :D Hope to see you and M at MK? ;)

S_and_M, this is the point at which you were getting a lot of wheelspin, I thought you were going to dissapear down the river.

I was watching my nephew in his bike race when you all swooped down the hill heading towards wormhill. What a sight. In my wife's Alfa 147 otherwise would of binned watching the race tagged along. Thanks to the lad in the Artic Blue Cooper S, who took a wrong turn, and as he was turning round kindly gave me this website address. Is the next run in the Cotswolds? Can someone point me in the right direction here? Cheers

Thanks to all involved in the organisation of today. It must have been a mamoth task, and all came off without a hitch. Good to put some names to some faces - nice friendly crowd. Doubled the mileage on my MINI - now up to 900 miles. :)

Thanks again for a great day. Hopefully see you soon.

This was one of my highlights of the day :)

Then it was my turn to lead Sugster ;) the only reason you were in front was because i was keeping the revs down :( but I had good view of you in my rear view mirror after lunch :D.

Got through the front door at 9.15pm - The traffic on the M1 was appalling! :( But had a superb time! Can't wait for the MK run. I'll be tent shopping next week! ;) :D

A huge thanks to MAXIM and Cheekygrin for organising what was our first MINI run. Well done guys, loved every minute!

It was great to meet some of the names that I have become so familiar with over the last few weeks. Everyone was so welcoming! :)

:D :D :D LOL!! That is a very good pic! Martin actually lost that bet and went off in a huff when he realised he had to pay the entrance fee. That's why he wasn't spotted after the curry. :p
