Igor, reading many of your posts make me smile, i like your sense of humour and the way you put things over.

I'm sorry though in this case that what you have written has opened yourself up to be mis represented, sadly the justice system is screwed as we all agree, however even your written words assumed that Martin was the guilty party as he was male.
Having written that just confirms that in any situation where a male and female are at odds the police will take the female side, that is where the it all goes wrong.
At the end of the day the woman committed a criminal act for which nothing was done, what part of the legal system failed there.
If all accounts had been heard and indeed the woman had been fined £50 then justice would have been done, but no, once again a criminal gets away with a crime where the innocent party is made to feel guilty and allows her to go and do it again until such times as she is made to pay.
Now put Martin (or anyone else) in a different situation where he has suffered the indignity of being made to feel guilt when innocent and then he witnesses a crime, will he assist the police to do their duty??

Anyway, this is not meant as a personal attack on you or anyone, but you just have to see the amount of long term prisoners being released because of dodgy statements etc that just compound the issue as described.

Thats my rant over

Let's face it, with a police system that's driven by targets and performance indicators, any individual officer is going to go for the crime for which is most likely to lead to a prosecution.

Faced with witnessing someone being held by the scruff of the neck and probably having another officer as a second witness (forgive me if that wasn't the case, but I think I read it further up the thread) and an earlier event with no independent witnesses, they're probably going to try to side with what they've seen.

I'm not saying that's right (it isn't), but that's probably what is likely to happen. After all, there's no damage caused and therefore no evidence. As we all know, that doesn't give very good grounds for prosecution.

I am not one to hit a woman.... but if some PERSON jumped on my pride and joy then I would surly have some sort of confrontation be it MAN / woman.

As for the police well, we all know what we may think of them and yes they are supposed to keep the peace and control the crime we have in the country.
I guess its better than most countries that I have visited but sure we could do better when incidents with drunk and disorderly are concerned.

I went in to local station to report 3 plums who came out of their car and with what seemed to be a metal object/bar towards our car and with the Mrs being there I had to drive off.
We all know that women can give you an ear full which would probably last a life time if we don't listen to them ;) even ears would pop  .
All because I beeped when the car pulled out recklessly in front of me without due care and attention

So I listned to the Mrs and went to the Police station where as mentioned previously queued for nearly 2 hours and the duty report officer didn't even WRITE a full report  . He took all the details from us of the car involved and we were told to expect a call once he had done his paper work, t he would call us... :( now 3 months later I still await in anticipation!! And every time the phone rings we would hope it would be the PC ^$£& but hey guess what ? :o .
Don't get me wrong with the Law/Police respected in our housel hold.
The Mrs BEST friend is a police woman and she is quite high up in the ranks. The friends partner is living sergeant in the force and well the don't do the average bicycle run, so I do get to discuss the judicial system over dinner meetings that we have on a regular basis .

The point is I listened to the Mrs and went to the station and NOUGHT was done....

If and only if I was alone then I would have run the plebs that came out of their car OVER  . If there was only one person then maybe we could have had a chat but YES , it makes my blood boil now that I had to drive away for the safety of who ever was in the car with me t the time. This be it if its family of friend the point is that its someone else in the car when I am driving.

I respect the law most of the time ;) (unless I am driving), but I know one thing and that is if I am right and alone, then I will not stand any damage to my property..

Sure its insured people may say/think

But hey do you see me jumping on your property or causing damage?? ... mmmmm ... NOPE

So the Police .. mmmmmm and IDIOTS who jump on other peoples scars.. welllllllll come onnnnnn
