Alot of people have been saying that there mini's have arrived early. I visited my dealer last weekend now that the car had been on order for 5 weeks and they said that it is scheduled to arrive 2 days early! Do you think there is any chance that it might come any quicker than this? Im so desperate to start driving it!!!

Thanks Andy :D

You can squeeze the dealers a bit on their PDI if necesary (just teel them you need the car earlier), so saving a few more days.

My Cooper arrived at the dealers last monday, he originally said it would be ready next tuesday, but since I need it this weekend, I managed to pursuade him to let me have it yesturday.

Don't count on it!!!!

I ordered my MCS on 28th Sept 2002, with build scheduled for early May.....with delivery no later than the 19th May.

I last checked with my dealer on Monday this week.....and the build date hasn't changed......top tip....order an MCS with Chilli and you will get it early.....anything else and you have to sing for it.

A colleague @ work ordered an MCS with Chilli a month after me....and he takes delivery 6 weeks early, next week.

I rang MINI UK and was told initially that they operate on a first come first served basis at each dealer, when I said I was third in the queue, behind two others who ordered 4-5 weeks after me they went a bit silent....excuses range from "you ordered unsual options" (since when have manual a/c, MFSW, black paint, heated mirrors and jets" been classed as unusual?
The next one I was told was "they build all Chilli pack cars together"....then "well they are popular"....maybe.

My dealer makes me feel like I'm harassing them because they don't communicate...it's all one way traffic. If this is indicative of ownership, then they need to get their act together! (MINI as well as the dealer)

Guess I was lucky then... my Cooper was due for delivery April 7th, it arrived April 3rd and I picked it up 10am April 5th, after PDI, fitting of Sony head unit and installation of rear clear lights. :)

And I only had to ask nicely once :D

I have been hoping that my MCS will come early, but this doesn't appear to be the case - even though my dealer said that all of the April cars came in during March....It is due May 9th, and has been ever since I got the order confirmation last December. I am still not convinced that this is a definate date tho...

The Chilli pack doesn't seem to have affected the delivery date either.

Still, all being well, only 2 weeks 5 days to go...

Wobert123... I must admit I have exactly the same problem with my dealer, havent bothered them really but when I do try to contact them, phone calls not returned etc etc... they make me feel like I'm wasting their time... only when I walk in do I get a totally different experience !... mine was due for delivery 15th May... but looks like its going to be late, 1st June if i'm lucky... it seems i'm getting the same story you got, I know they have had cars in addition to their quota in Jan, Mar, Apr... but mine has never moved forward... how can that be?... surprising thing is apart from the colour I've got the same options as you !!!... so surely it cant be that unusual !!!... have a feeling they werent very honest with my 15th May delivery date

Mine was expected mid Oct and I got a call to say it's in and I collect it next Thursday - so a couple of weeks early for me.
