ok - so I thought I'd start this thread based on another one I posted. Sorry to stereotype but we all know that certain cars seem to be driven mostly by women.

I'll go first

1. VW Cabrio - white with white interior
2. VW New Beetle - all models
3. Late model Camero's
4. Any car that daddy bought new off the lot that's a convertible and is going to be driven by a freshman (first year) coed college student especially if driven to an expensive private school (Ivy league, Stanford, Tulane, Duke etc.)

Oh, well maybe not the corvette. I meant GM cars. Not the trucks and SUVs.

GM, dont they make Humvees also? thats definately not a chick car. lol.

In the UK, the Mazda MX-5 is most definately a chick / hair dresser car. but its cute IMO.

SUV's are the ultimate chick cars. My wife and many folks like her wont have anything but an SUV. Many women (not the ones on MINI2) dont care about handling or performance and really dont see the fun in driving on a curvy road for the fun of it.

Look at the drivers of Ford Escapes, Nissan Exterras, Lincoln Aviators and dozens of other SUV models, you will mostly see women in those vehicles.

If my wife and women like her want cars that they can haul thier junk, their friends and the junk their friends buy at those boutique places.

Let's leave the small high performance cars alone and start pointing fingers at the true chick transportation - The SUV!

What's really funny is that women hate station wagons! I have, unsuccessfully, tried to get my wife to drive either an Audi A4 Avant or a Volvo V70R. She does not want to be seen driving a "wagon". I have also tried in vain to explain that an SUV is a station wagon raised up in the air. I explain the handling, gas mileage, and ride comfort benefits of these cars but it does not matter. So as a compromise, I am getting rid of my CL Type-S and getting a Mini. She will be getting rid of her PT Cruiser and getting her SUV 3 months later. All's well that ends well!:D

The only chick car is a pink car with MK on the back window!

On the other hand, my grandfather had the original chick truck! He had a bright red '49 Ford pickup that he used to transport live chickens. I wish I had that truck now.

In the US, the top chick car, year and model specific, is the 1957 Ford Thunderbird. This doesn't mean it doesn't or shouldn't appeal to men, but just get a couple of good pictures and run it by some randomly sampled women and see your results.

Around here the chick car of choice is a Toyota RAV4.
Second runner up is probably the Saturn Coupe.

Yes, I agree that the SUV appeals to the soccer mom types and might be the ultimate chick car for the women that have to haul things around, but somehow the H2, although an SUV, is not a chick car.
It definitely seems like VWs and Hondas appeal to the chicks.

Ah. The H2 is the new Minivan I am afraid. Every time I see one of these domesticised pusilanimous miltary lookalikes there's a lady at the wheel. Actually there's one all painted up with logos that's driven by a guy. See the commercial with the woman driving the yellow H2, getting off on intimidating everyone that she sees.

Quite a few original Hummers around. Now that's ridiculous machismo. No mistaking that for a minivan, no matter who's driving.

My other vehicle is a 2000 Jeep Cherokee Sport 4x4
which I've driven all through dirt back roads in the VA/WVA mountains in all 4 seasons (snow is the most fun, fall the most beautiful), through a few shallow creeks too, camped in, brought home nearly half of Home Depot in, and generally found indispensible. I have passed this on to my mom to drive (so does that make it a hen car?) and hence my new MINI! --- but see I can still switch with her when I want a 4x4 or a cargo hold.
She's not about to drive a clutch, I can tell you that.
So I wanted both a stick and an automatic Cooper... impossible of course! (but Nothing is Impossible in a MINI?)
